Simulation for electric transport systems

Our experts design the Fixed Electric Traction Installations (IFTE) for the creation or refurbishment of metro lines, regional trains (TER), suburban trains (RER), and high-speed lines (LGV). The use and development of simulation tools are part of our daily work. Below are the installations covered by our design studies: Traction Transformers, HV/LV Cables, Catenary Conductors (contact wires, messenger wires, feeders…), capacitor banks, harmonic filters…

Automation and Protection

The safety of electrical traction installations leads our engineers to design and define the automation and protection systems to be implemented. They specifically determine the prohibited operation schemes and the types of protections to be applied in substations and electrical traction posts. They carry out calculations for configuring protections such as MICOM, PGT-N, and PDZIN (specific catenary protection).

Testing and Commissioning

TRACTEDIS’ knowledge and mastery of railway operations and equipment enables us to manage and/or perform pre-commissioning tests of electrical installations (including electrical traction systems). We are involved in all testing phases, including factory acceptance tests, installation inspections and individual equipment tests, functional integration tests, powering up, commissioning, and performance testing. To support the future operator of electrical traction installations, TRACTEDIS is also able to develop operational instructions such as the S11 guidelines.
