Project Description

Line 16 will serve as the eastern line of the Greater Paris metropolitan area. It will serve 10 stations, of which 8 will be interconnected with the rest of the network. This 29 km automatic metro line will transport 200,000 passengers per day. Line 16 will share part of its route with Line 17. The two lines will separate at the Bourget station. Line 17 will terminate at Le Mesnil-Amelot, passing through the Bourget and Charles de Gaulle airports.

Our Services

TRACTEDIS is responsible for the traction simulation of both lines. Line-specific data (speed limits, slopes and gradients, curves, types of rolling stock, train intervals, etc.) are entered into the SIGNON software suite developed by ELBAS.

Multiple scenarios are taken into account, varying according to degraded operating modes (such as loss of a traction group) and provisional services (operations on a section of the route).

Following the calculations, results can be visualized graphically (line voltages, rail-to-ground voltages, catenary currents, quadratic currents of traction groups), and critical values can be extracted to determine the minimum required power of the traction groups to be installed.
